Executive Coaching Competencies Report

Tecf_2 While researching coach brokers for an article I'm working on, I came across a report called "Core Competencies of the Executive Coach" at TheExecutiveCoachingForum.com. Although it's a bit dry, those of you who are executive coaches might be interested in it from a marketing perspective.

Core competencies can be woven into your marketing copy to build credibility and create connection between what your clients are looking for and what they can expect from you.

While you're on the site, be sure to download their free Executive Coaching Handbook, too.

Are you looking for a supportive coaching community?

Ba8b I just stumbled upon a really neat online coaching community called New Coach Connection, which was started by Candye Hinton. There's also a blog, called Making Coach Connections.

Here's a link back to a recent blog post on Coaching Tools.

If you've been searching for a supportive professional coaching forum, you'll definitely want to check these folks out. It's set up on a Yahoo Group, so you have some control over how much email ends up in your box.

I really like the way they've organized things, too:

We urge you to participate actively. Let other members know who you are. Share about your coaching practice. If you have a coaching problem, issue, or concern, ask it here. If you feel that you can contribute to someone else, please do.

In addition to encouraging you to ask questions any time, we have themed days for our group that serve as discussion starters.

  • Monday Madness (life balance issues)
  • Ask Anything Tuesday (skill building, ask anything)
  • Reach Out Wednesday (business and community and network building)
  • Techie Thursday (Technical and administrative issues, questions and solutions)
  • Free Friday (shamelessly market your services and products to our community, courage building)

We host the "NCC Monthly Call" each month and sometimes schedule special calls. These are free to NCC members and guests. Watch for announcements and invite your friends and colleagues.

They currently have around 550 members, and their goal for 2007 is to expand to 1500. Let's help them reach their goal!

Hope to *see* you at NCC soon --

P.S. I forgot to mention that it's FREE!

Ks6832_1 As I was catching up on my blog browsing today, I came across a post by Milana Leshinsky about predictions from top coaches at the ACCPOW Virtual Coaching Summit that took place in January. She asked about half a dozen 6-figure coaches to share their top 3-4 predictions about coaching in 2007—and boy, some of their predictions are really interesting!
